Journals
(Formerly called Resource Publications)
|
|
Welcome
to the enhanced and expanded (and renamed) Journal Section
of perspectivesonyouth.org.
With the many thousands of journals that cover important
issues that directly and/or indirectly affect or relate
to children and the multidisciplinary/interdisciplinary
professionals that devote themselves to children's causes,
it can seem overwhelming to sort through the mass numbers
of journals that exist. The Editorial and Advisory Boards
of Perspectives On Youth have turned to countless colleagues,
experts, and highly respected professionals for guidance.
Listed below are over one hundred journals that have been
deemed by those consulted to be among the best or most
promising in their subject area, scope, and purpose. In
some cases, more than a few journals that cover the same
or similar topic are listed so that the listing of one
excellent publication does not preclude the listing of
another excellent publication.
|
HELPFUL INFORMATION: Many
of the journals listed below are also available to read
ONLINE OVER THE INTERNET, provided
in various ways including: free of charge, or for a nominal
subscription cost through the website of the publisher
of the journal, or as a free benefit through membership
of the sponsoring organizations that are affiliated with
some of the publications. Most (not all) journals are
available in both hard copy and electronic Internet formats.
