About Youth Today

Since its inaugural issue in 1992, Youth Today has been the leading national newspaper dedicated to the youth service field. Each monthly issue provides many tens of thousands of readers with the latest on youth development issues, juvenile justice, program evaluations, adolescent health, grants and funding, youth mentoring, faith-based initiatives, after school programs, and legislative developments on the community, state and national levels.

Published by the nonprofit American Youth Work Center, Youth Today has been recognized for its efforts with such prestigious accolades as the Decade of Service Award for Outstanding Media Coverage of Youth Issues, presented by the American Youth Policy Forum, and the Pro Humanitate Literary Award from the North American Resource Center for Child Welfare.

Supported by such leading foundations as C. S. Mott, Annie E. Casey, Ford, W. T. Grant and Surdna, Youth Today plays an ongoing leadership role in raising the professional knowledge and skill level of youth workers around the country, and emphasizing their shared goal of improving the lives of all young people.
